Kyia is a performer, director, teacher and coach. She holds an MA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a certified teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. After working as a professional performer for 12 years, Kyia discovered her love of teaching voice and acting to students of all ages. Alongside private coaching, Kyia has taught both undergraduates and postgraduates at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, east 15 drama school and The Urdang Academy in London. She loves languages and enjoys working with students from all over the globe, supporting them in developing presence and expression in performance through spoken and sung voice. She has a particular interest in storytelling and enjoys bringing the creativity of imaginative storytelling to audiences of all ages.
She loves the beach and being in nature and if she is not to be found in the studio or the theatre, then she will be optimistically tending to the plants in her slightly wild veg patch!
