Nau mai, haere mai ki Aotearoa! 

Freedom and Focus Update -  I am on a holiday in the South Island of Aotearoa at the moment, it's very beautiful, with all the trees turning orange and gold, and days very still, crisp and sunny. I feel my shoulders dropping after a very busy summer. I am having a break away from many of the usual activities - but of course, I take my work with me, which is a blessing, for the most part. I write and zoom with clients from wherever I am.

I have been thinking about our third goal for the conference: ‘To explore and share Fitzmaurice Voicework ‘kanohi ki te kanohi’ in Aotearoa’. ‘Kanohi ki te kanohi’ means ‘face to face’ in Māori. I think it is generally accepted that ‘face to face’ makes for a richer, more nuanced encounter between people. Screens have a vital place, suit some people and some situations - and I couldn’t make a living without coaching on screen, but ah, the joy of being face to face with someone.
