Dr. Dara Culhane's background is in Indigenous and Irish Studies, and her current research, teaching, and artistic practices focus on Multisensory Ethnography, Voice, and Storytelling Performance. Two works in progress are:  "Encore! Travels With The Ghost of Margaret Sheehy," a memory-work life story; and, "Hear Me Looking At You!" an autoethnographic storytelling performance.

Dara is the Founding Member and Co-Curator, Centre for Imaginative Ethnography (imaginativeethnography.org), the Acting Director (2017-2018) of the Institute for Performance Studies (www.sfu.ca/ips.html), and the Associate Editor of Performance Matters: The Journal (www.sfu.ca/ips/performance-matters--the-journal.html).
