Vivian Majkowski currently teaches voice, speech and text at SCAD. She has also taught at Harvard University, Harvard Extension School, the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard, and the University of Colorado. She is currently the Vice Chair for the Voice and Speech Committee for the Southeastern Theatre Conference. She coaches voice and accents professionally for business clients, and for film and theatre. She is also the voice and speech master teacher for the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Summer Training Program and she coaches productions there as well. Vivian began studying this pedagogy in 1992 when Catherine Fitzmaurice was her vocal coach at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Vivian has also studied extensively with Fitzmaurice Master Teachers Dudley Knight and Phil Thompson, completing both of their workshops, Experiencing Speech in 2005 and Experiencing Accents in 2010. Her mentor during her MFA was Master Teacher Nancy Houfek.
