Pamela Prather is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Purchase College, SUNY.  She is also the founder of sHeroes Journey© and hosts a podcast celebrating sHeroes and the people who love them.  She taught 8 years in the MFA program at Yale School of Drama.  Other teaching appointments include: NYU, UCLA, Marymount Manhattan College (NYC), The Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (NYC) , and the School for Film and Television (NYC). She professionally coached voice and/or dialects at the Tony Award winning Alley Theatre (Houston), Yale Repertory Theatre, The Play Company, Underwood Theater Company, The Edge Theatre Company, Hamptons' Shakespeare Festival, and at St. Anne's WareHouse, DUMBO, and Dance Theatre Workshop. Pamela is a certified Prana Yoga Teacher, CTI Life Coach and Laughter Yoga Teacher. She coaches actors, executives and curious humans and is currently working on a book entitled The Voice Coach’s Toolkit which will be published by Routledge in 2022. She is honored to be serving as VASTA President from September of 2020-2022.
