Marla Burkholder is an actor/teaching-artist currently living in Philadelphia. In addition to pursuing her stage acting career, she teaches acting and voice/speech at Temple University and Community College of Philadephia. She specializes in dialect work and has coached shows throughout the professional and academic theatre communities in Philadelphia. Marla began her Fitzmaurice training as a student of Donna Snow in the MFA in Acting program at Temple University. She is also the founder and Co-Artistic Director of Shakespeare in Clark Park, an outdoor theatre venture that draws crowds of thousands each summer to Shakespeare productions in a beautiful park in West Philadelphia. Her work in that setting has encouraged her interest in text work and in finding the power available in the voice to reach a large audience.
