Krista Scott: Voice Trainer, Educator, Dialect Coach, Actor, Director. She teaches courses in Voice, Speech, Dialects, Shakespeare, Period Styles, and Acting. She has taught at the University of Connecticut, Ithaca College, Syracuse University, the University of Mississippi, and the American University in Cairo (Egypt). Krista served as Voice and Text Coach at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. for the 2012 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor, and was Voice and Text Director for two seasons at Trinity Shakespeare Festival (Fort Worth) and three seasons at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. She has coached the voices and dialects for productions in Texas at Dallas Theater Center, Shakespeare Dallas, Theatre Three, Casa Mañana, and Circle Theatre, Connecticut Repertory, Hangar Theatre, Kitchen Theatre, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Cornell University, and Ithaca College. Krista has acted professionally throughout the Midwest, and received The Column Awards (Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex) Best Actress in a Lead Role for her 2013 portrayal of Vivian Bearing in WIT. Beyond numerous university productions, Krista has directed professionally at Shakespeare Dallas Complete Works Series, Amphibian Productions, Circle Theatre and Kitchen Theatre, and was co-founder and Associate Director of The New Tradition Theatre Company in St. Cloud, MN. She is an associate editor for the International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA) www.dialectsarchive.com.
