In addition to Fitzmaurice Voicework, other approaches which inform his teaching include Knight-Thompson Speechwork, Delsarte, and Body-Mind Centering. A member of Actors' Equity Association since 1981, professional work in NC includes performances in The Mystery of Irma Vep and The Illusion at the Triad Stage in Greensboro, and in Jude the Obscure at The Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh, as well as dialect coaching Arcadia, The Seafarer, Pentecost, The Prisoner's Dilemma, St. Nicholas, and Limbo at the latter. He has also performed with The Riverside Shakespeare Company (NYC), The Arizona Theatre Company, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, among others.
