John Gresh is a performer and educator in Pittsburgh. He has acted with Quantum Theatre, barebones productions, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre. Favorite roles include: Sir Toby Belch (Twelfth Night), Ansel (Killer Joe), Philip K. Dick (800 Words: the Transmigration of Philip K. Dick) and Steamboat (Dorothy 6). Most recently, John performed with corningworks In House - intimate interiors, choreographed by Beth Corning and co-directed by Dominique Serrand at the Mattress Factory's Annex space.

John has directed for The Next Stage, Inc., Westminster College, Washington and Jefferson College, Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre, and Caravan Theatre of Pittsburgh. He has taught at Westminster College, Slippery Rock University, Indiana - University of PA, California -University of PA, Carnegie-Mellon University, and Point Park University. 

John is finishing his term as Co-Chair of the National Playwriting Program (Region II), part of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

John regularly performs New Orleans rhythm and blues in and around Pittsburgh.
