Jason Martin teaches, coaches, and acts in Chicago. He teaches dialects and sometimes speech and Shakespeare to BFAs at Roosevelt University. He is responsible for the BA voice and speech sequence at UIC, and this autumn will be leading Voice 1 at DePaul. He previously spent three years as a lecturer at Northwestern. He has coached text, dialects, and characterization for many shows at Piccolo Theatre in Evanston, IL. In Chicago, he has coached at Red Tape, National Pastime, Silk Road Theatre Project, and a staged reading of “Reykjavik” at the Goodman. He gladly takes clients for voice, dialect, and accent modification when schedules allow. He role plays a standardized patient at various medical schools in the city, as part of their doctor training programs.
