Ellen is Norwegian and based in Copenhagen, Denmark. After a long career as theatre practitioner, scholar and educator, she retired from her post as Professor of Drama & Theatre in 2023. Voicework has played an important role in her practice and research since the early 2000s and meeting Catherine Fitzmaurice and her work in 2007 was significant and made an indelible impression. Ellen has since endorsed voicework in therapeutic and educational applications of drama/theatre. Her teaching and research practice pivots around how drama/theatre can contribute to good health and resilience for individuals and communities.
