Donya uses FV in her work with acappella singers worldwide, bringing presence and authentic connection into performance practice. Her work began with 20 years of dance training culminating in a BFA in Dance, which led her to her fascination with approaching the voice through the body. Donya's performing career includes a variety of disciplines from Musical Theatre to Top 40 touring pop band to Barbershop singing, and she has been fortunate to travel all over Southeast Asia, to Europe, West Africa, Australia and New Zealand either performing or coaching. She has recorded upwards of 600 acappella songs used as learning tracks in the Barbershop world, and continues building her body of work. Currently, she is studying Somatic Experiencing and looking forward to combining FV and SE to help people recover from trauma and discover their most powerful, expressive voices.
